I’m So Overjoyed To Have Quit Programming And Discovering SEO

I have been working in and about the IT game now for more than 20 years. In fact, the week I began as a trainee programmer was the week of the Lockerbie bombing, which gives somewhat more idea of how long I’ve been pulling my fetid corpse around the place. In that period, I’ve learnt to employ a wide assortment of skills and disciplines, traipsed near and far, been on the permanent payroll and a freelance contractor doing software consultancy work. And I will state with considerable authority that search engine optimisation is by far and away the best thing I’ve ever learnt.

Having converted myself into an affordable SEO company, it has the reward that it works around the hated IR35 measure that thieves from contractors by regarding them as ‘hidden employees’ as I have many contracts with clients that operate concurrently and I expect over the very long term as I support their websites and aim to lift them as far up the search engine results pages as possible.

The joy for me is that all though my existence I have always loved creative writing, whether it be stories in the full length version or short, song lyrics, diaries or blogs. Often a mixture of several, and this is what search engine optimisation permits me to do for the majority of my time. Initially when I take on a fresh client I spend a long time examining at their site, working out how it can be changed to make it more appealing to the search engines by amending the words on the page, in the language that creates it and the pictures and then ensure that it is correctly indexed with the major search engines. After that is finished then I can begin writing about practically any subject I can think of that has a particular skew to the client’s site or business.

It’s fabulous, and for that reason I want mine to be the most affordable SEO company that I can make it, I’m not worried in charging huge fees and then having the client disappear and take on somebody else after I’ve completed the initial work. I want to work with them for years to come and be a quiet yet indispensable part of the support for their trade.

I did pursue the big money when I was doing software consultancy and earned them in many cases, but when the work is canned, the staff levels reduced or you discover yourself with the wrong nationality in the wrong location, unemployment erodes those bucks and very soon you’re back to at the beginning when you started. I don’t want to be experiencing that again, it’s too painful and debilitating to be constantly fire-fighting.

I can also be an affordable SEO company since my costs are very low. I work at home so there is no issue with the commute to the office, I can choose my own working period. For example, I’m writing this on a Saturday afternoon just since I quite fancy doing it and I missed some time during the last week when the electricity was off as the guys fitting my new kitchen needed to fiddle with some plugs.

I really can’t commend it enough. If someone enjoys the creative process, can stand the challenge involved in coming up with stacks of articles on the same topic without getting bored, I suggest you learn search engine optimisation and get going. If you don’t want to set your own business up, you can look for an affordable SEO company somewhere local I’m certain and if, like me, you were ever into software consultancy, then you’ll never look back.
