It is a shame that techies are regarded as being in someway peculiar or weird. Our society is now at a moment where it is predicated almost completely upon folks who would be portrayed as geeks by those who think of themselves to be un-techie. And yet for everything from search engine optimisation to creating the most useful and complex IT systems it is the army of techies that turn them out. When you regard the least techie kinds such as armed forces personnel, their lives rely upon the incredibly clever weapons they use. So many companies I have found use prehistoric versions which are not really up to the task, particularly when they share files and data with customers, suppliers and other involved parties as the day will come when they cannot open a file correctly. Which can be embarrassing at best, and perilous at worst since there will be a stop on any work until the situation is resolved.
But the best thing by a long way, is search engine optimisation simply as it is such a vital service and although it is something of a black art, it is actually straightforward and highly enjoyable. And, as long as one remains an affordable SEO company, the relationship with the customer should be a long one as the job is continuous to get the client’s pages at the summit of the search results and then keep it there. And since the nature of the job is predicated on results then outgoings can be controlled, and if needed, extra pages can be inaugurated to the SEO portfolio.
The clients might be the most rugged people known among the species, they could be the picture postcard of cool and sophistication, but it’s the nerds that keep them supported but, happily they will be well out of the way, unseen but essential.
